Hi! My name is Ruby, and as most of you know I am the manager of FITIN20. Inspired and motivated by all of the fitness journeys of our trainees I decided to share my story.

Below you see a picture of my results after 6 months of a weekly EMS session (I do sometimes cheekily skip a week as well Ruby's EMS story - the owner and manager of FIT IN 20 1). I also added a picture of me playing with my kids as my biggest gain I got out of starting EMS is being able to play with my kids again! (although I am not complaining about the physical changes either Ruby's EMS story - the owner and manager of FIT IN 20 1)

Before Thor and I opened the studio I was pregnant of our second child (we also call her ”the final chapter” as there will be no more Ruby's EMS story - the owner and manager of FIT IN 20 3). Unfortunately I suffered from severe hyperemesis and every movement made me throw up, resulting in endless visits to the hospitals as I was severely hydrated. During my entire pregnancy I was not able to do much, so I mainly stayed in bed or on the sofa, leaving me skinny and weak.

Two months after Lotte was born I slowly wanted to start up with some minor exercise again, but I started suffering from severe back pain and back spasms due to loosing so much muscle during my pregnancy. I kept re-injuring myself, which resulted in endless visits to the physio. It was a frustrating time, as I was finally feeling better, but this time not able to move properly because of my back. I could often not even lift the baby out of her cot, let alone play with my toddler.

Unrelated to our new arrival, Thor and I decided to open an EMS fitness studio in Caloundra as we had seen first hand how well it worked on our parents living in SA and Germany. Thor’s father regained muscle and energy in his recovery from cancer and my father had the same results after a double hip surgery. When we opened the studio July last year, I was the guinea pig for the EMS workouts. I was (nervous! haha and) so surprised that my back spasms disappeared within 2 session after having struggled for over 8 months with the pain. I knew the training we got and our friends that own EMS fitness studio’s in Germany mentioned it was great for back pain, but by far did not expect this.

It is such a relief for me to be able to pick up both my kids when they are in melt down mode (usually in the Coles or K-mart of course Ruby's EMS story - the owner and manager of FIT IN 20 1) and carry them trough the shopping center to the car without feeling my back. I feel strong, physically balanced and I am grateful for it each day! Ruby's EMS story - the owner and manager of FIT IN 20 1 This feeling motivates me each and every day, to go to the studio, work hard and share my passion for the EMS training method with our trainees, hoping to give them that same fantastic feeling no matter what their fitness or health goals are!
